Surgical Assisting Services

What is Surgical Assisting?

A surgical assistant is a medical professional who helps the surgeon and nurse during surgical procedures. Duties of a surgical assistant can include assembling and monitoring any of the tools that are to be used during the surgery, adjusting and holding retractors or endoscopes and closing wounds. They may also ensure that all necessary paperwork has been appropriately completed and filed, and that the operation room is clean and ready for use.
